Job summary

Zohorecruit seeks a Kubernetes Platform Engineer for a Voice Services Modernization initiative in Philadelphia, PA. The role focuses on migrating VM-based voice middleware to cloud-native Kubernetes platforms using DevOps, CI/CD, and IaC practices.

You will design scalable architectures, containerize applications, and implement observability and automation across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OpenShift environments. Strong Kubernetes and Ansible skills are required, with Python scripting a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in Ansible role and playbook development.
• CI/CD pipeline development and automation experience.
• Cloud platform administration (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack).
• Terraform and infrastructure-as-code expertise.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms.
• Python scripting or programming.
• Production applications support and operational troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing voice applications and VM-based deployment environments.
• Design Kubernetes-based architectures for low latency and high availability.
• Containerize middleware and backend apps; establish scalable deployment strategies.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for testing and deployment.
• Develop infrastructure automation with Ansible and Terraform.
• Deploy, configure, and support Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack, OpenShift).
• Implement observability: central logging, metrics, dashboards, alerts.
• Support staged migration planning, validation, and production cutover.
• Troubleshoot issues across cloud-native environments and provide knowledge transfer.
