Job summary

Culper Technology is hiring a Software Integration Engineer to support administration, maintenance, and operational support of the PaaS component within the CASA Compute Environment. You will manage secure multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters on Linux, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph, plus experience with Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, IaC (Ansible), and automation scripting in Bash/Python.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field plus 6+ years of experience integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in heterogeneous OS environments.
• Five years of directly related Computer Science experience may substitute for a degree, in addition to 6+ years of relevant Software Integration Engineering experience.
• Experience working with Linux command-line tools and environments.
• Experience developing automation scripts using Bash and Python.
• Experience with Docker, Podman, and containerization technologies.
• Experience administering and monitoring Kubernetes clusters.
• Experience troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads, including networking, ingress, storage, and performance.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using automation tools such as Ansible.
• Experience creating and maintaining Helm Charts.
• Experience using Prometheus and Grafana for system monitoring.
• Experience using Git for source control and collaborative development.
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite, including Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
• Experience developing Python applications, including REST services and microservices, or a willingness to learn.
• Experience supporting enterprise Kubernetes platforms and mission-critical cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support Kubernetes-based PaaS environments.
• Monitor and optimize platform reliability, performance, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes workloads, including networking, ingress, storage, and performance.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash and Python.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Podman.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Ansible.
• Create, deploy, and maintain Helm Charts for Kubernetes applications.
• Monitor system health using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Utilize Git for source control, branching strategies, and collaborative development.
• Support mission-critical applications within a secure, Linux-based compute environment.
