Job summary

Penske is seeking a Systems Engineer to build and operate Kubernetes and Linux-based environments, focusing on RedHat OpenShift. You will manage system planning, implementation, documentation, and upgrades to ensure high availability and reliability across PTL ITDS Web Services.

Responsibilities include automation scripting with Ansible/Terraform, disaster recovery planning, and coordinating changes with various IT groups. Strong Linux, container, and cloud skills are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT or 3+ years of related hands-on work if no degree.
• At least 3 years of systems engineering in Kubernetes/containerized environments.
• Advanced Linux/middleware skills and cloud knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate Kubernetes and Linux-based systems.
• Provide technical direction to IT support staff and coordinate with teams.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies.
• Create automated scripts for deployment and maintenance.
