Job summary

Triwill Group seeks a Technical Lead to own the architecture for a modernization effort spanning a Java/Spring legacy estate and a cloud-native successor on Kubernetes. You will steer cross-team efforts across Java, React UI, data pipelines, and persistence, ensuring security and governance throughout the journey.

You will collaborate with stakeholders including health and public health domains, drive design reviews, and maintain engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's with equivalent substitution.
• Hands-on ownership of Kubernetes-based microservice platforms (EKS or AKS), Terraform, Helm.
• Depth in Java/Spring and event-driven architectures (Kafka or equivalent), plus production experience with search or pipeline tooling such as Elasticsearch and NiFi.
• Experience sustaining legacy Java estates alongside modernization work.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and decompose legacy into microservices without disrupting production.
• Govern architecture across a multi-vendor codebase and review merges.
• Keep components deployable on multiple clouds per contract requirements.
• Write architecture decision records to ensure knowledge persists beyond individuals.
• Lead engineering across Java/Spring services, React UI, and data pipelines.
• Direct technical workstreams in record matching and configuration tooling modernization.
• Maintain strong security posture with prompt vulnerability remediation and audit-ready evidence.
• Define and enforce quality gates for unit tests, static analysis, dependencies, and containers.
