Job summary

CEI is seeking a Solutions Architect III in Philadelphia, PA for a hybrid, long-term contract. You will assess enterprise applications for containerization readiness, focusing on Kubernetes-based infrastructure and modernization options, while coordinating with engineering, platform, and security teams.

You will document target-state architectures, design diagrams, and risk/mitigation plans, and you will present tradeoffs to senior leadership and partners, helping shape governance and technology

Qualifications

• 5+ years in solutions/application/platform architecture roles (enterprise environment).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or containers (K8s, OpenShift, Docker).
• Strong ability to document architectures and communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform application architecture assessments to determine readiness for containers/Kubernetes.
• Evaluate application characteristics including dependencies, runtime, statefulness, data/storage patterns, networking, identity/access, observability, and operational requirements.
• Present solutions and tradeoffs to senior architects and business partners.
• Collaborate with platform and security teams to incorporate security and vulnerability risk into recommendations.
