Human Resource Specialist

Summary/objective
The
HR Specialist plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Kingsmark Security Group. This position assists with all facets of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, benefits, performance management, and HRIS support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of handling sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality. Experience with Paycom or similar HRIS systems is preferred.

Recruitment & Hiring Support
- Publish, update, and remove job ads in a timely manner,
- Screen résumés and job applications; coordinate interviews and assist with the selection process.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements and desired qualifications.
- Manage background checks and employment eligibility verifications through Paycom.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation of new hires.
Employee Relations & Support
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns.
- Assist with employee relations matters, including participating in disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations.
- Help foster a positive work environment through clear communication and support.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
HR Administration & Compliance
- Manage and update employee data in Paycom or other HRIS systems.
- Process unemployment claims with third party vendors.
- Assist with compliance-related reporting (ACA, EEOC, etc.).
- Support the preparation of internal HR reports and data analysis as needed.
- Maintain accurate employee records and support general HR administrative duties.
Performance & Talent Management
- Schedule and coordinate performance reviews and goal-setting processes.
- Track performance documentation and support ongoing employee development.
HR Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare ad-hoc HR reports as requested.
- Track and supply metrics for onboarding/offboarding activities.
- Manage MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) reporting and compliance tracking.
Continuous Learning & Best Practices
- Stay current on HR trends, best practices, legal updates, and technology.
- Make recommendations to improve HR processes.
Meetings & Other Support
- Participate in administrative meetings and HR seminars as requested.
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Paycom HRIS is a plus.

- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance standards
Supervisory Responsibilities
There are no supervisory responsibilities with this role.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Must be able to navigate office environments and visit different departments as needed.
Travel Required
This position may require occasional overnight travel to other company branches, though such travel is expected to be infrequent. The ability to travel as needed is essential to support organizational needs.
Required Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- 1–3 years of HR experience required; 2+ years preferred.
- SHRM-CP or similar HR certification preferred but not required.
- Paycom or comparable HRIS system experience preferred
