Job summary

Melaleuca: The Wellness Company is seeking a Custodial Coordinator to lead front-line custodians in keeping our operations facilities Tour Ready at all times. You will oversee daily assignments, supervise staff, and ensure cleaning and safety standards are met.

Successful candidates will have custodial experience and the ability to supervise others, read procedures, and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs. Strong attendance and reliable work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily assignments and supervise custodial staff.
• Maintain training and attendance records for the department.
• Ensure adherence to procedures and quality standards through inspections.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, clean restrooms, and manage breakroom cleanliness.
• Stock supplies and ensure trash and recycling are properly handled.
• Clean facility windows and office areas; keep lobby and break areas tidy.
• Maintain safe work practices and report issues promptly.

Job description

Our custodial team members are vital to providing high quality cleaning services for our operations facilities and the team members working in these facilities by ensuring our buildings are in "Tour Ready" condition at all times. The Custodial Coordinator is a working front line supervisor for the Custodians.

Requirements

Essential functions of the position include:

• Overseeing daily assignments, training and supervision of custodial staff
• Maintains training and attendance records / Work Force on department personnel
• Ensures custodial staff follow proper procedures and meet quality expectations through periodic observation and inspection of work performed
• Vacuuming carpeted floors and floor mats using an industrial vacuum
• Sweeping, moping and dusting all areas of the building
• Ensuring that all trash is removed from the building and deposited into the trash receptacle
• Cleaning all restrooms by sweeping & mopping floors, disinfecting the restrooms, (i.e., wiping & washing urinals, toilets, sinks, stalls, walls, floors, mirrors, etc.) with disinfectant and stocking paper products and soap
• Cleaning breakroom by sweeping floors, disinfecting the lunchroom: by wiping & washing tables, chairs, counters, floors, walls, windows, etc. Including cleaning inside refrigerators
• Stocking breakroom with supplies (i.e., forks, knives, spoons, cups, coffee, etc.)
• Cleaning windows inside of the facility
• Cleaning offices including desks, chairs, carpet and chair mats
• Cleaning and dusting the lobby area
• Ensuring all refuse is removed from the grounds around the building by sweeping sidewalks, picking up trash, and emptying garbage cans and ash buckets

Qualifications

Successful candidates will be team players with previous cleaning / custodial experience preferred and experience with cleaning commercial buildings and/or industrial environments a plus.
