Job summary

Yami’s in Brea, CA is seeking a Purchasing Management Specialist for the Korean Market (Food). The role owns end-to-end management of a product category, sourcing new vendors, negotiating terms, and maintaining vendor relations to drive GMV growth with healthy margins.

You will collaborate with Marketing and Operations to set pricing and scale initiatives, ensuring product availability and inventory health while communicating with domestic and international vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2–3 years purchasing and vendor management experience for consumer products.
• Strong English communication and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with Korean food products and brands.
• Experience with Excel-based analytics and data manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure Korean food products, brands, and suppliers based on market trends and demand.
• Manage daily purchasing operations: create POs, track status, coordinate deliveries.
• Develop vendor relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times.
• Maintain product lines and expand selections while ensuring availability.
• Prepare reports on purchasing, inventory, and vendor performance.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations to enable growth.
