Job summary

Yami, founded in 2013, seeks an Associate Purchasing Specialist – Korean Food to support purchasing and merchandising for Korean Food and Snack categories. The role handles PO management, replenishment, vendor communication, product sourcing, cost review, and data analysis.

This position partners with category leadership to maintain product availability, identify new Korean products and suppliers, and improve costs, margins and category performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Korean and English language proficiency for communication with vendors and internal teams.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, merchandising, or supply chain roles.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with purchasing, warehouse, logistics, marketing and finance.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with Excel skills for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Create, process, and maintain purchase orders based on inventory needs and sales trends.
• Negotiate costs, terms, and lead times with vendors to optimize margins.
• Monitor inventory, plan replenishment, and manage supplier relationships.
• Analyze sales and inventory data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely purchasing and product availability.
