Base pay range

$89,700.00/yr - $162,150.00/yr

Description

Leidos is currently seeking experienced and highly qualified Korean Interpreter/Linguist to support the company – National Security Programs. The Interpreter/Linguist will perform a full range of activities in processing materials or participating in situations requiring a general professional capability.

Required language: Korean

Responsibilities include:

1. Interpretation: Accurately interpret, primarily using consecutive interpretation; occasional simultaneous interpretation.
2. Transcription: Review audio or internet materials, transcribe with high accuracy, and prepare reports with excellent English writing skills. Good understanding of regional dialects is required.
3. Translation: Accurately translate reports/texts, capturing nuances, geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements, adhering to target language norms.
4. Gisting/Summarizing: Summarize factual points and abstract concepts, triage documentation, and conduct basic research using internet skills. Must have excellent English verbal communication for briefings.
5. Security Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph is required. Cannot begin work without fully adjudicated security clearance.
6. Language Testing: Must pass language tests administered by LEIDOS or approved vendors.
7. Education: BA with 8-12 years relevant experience or Master’s with 6-10 years relevant experience.
8. Desired Skills: Experience supporting contingency operations, knowledge of U.S. Intelligence, military, cryptology, law enforcement, proficiency in multiple languages, and familiarity with HLT & CAT tools.
