Duties/Responsibilities
  • Provide program coordination, development, and logistical planning for visiting scholars and delegations from Korea and the Global Leadership and Development Program, including educational programs, marketing, or recruitment needs. Manage and monitor program effectiveness and quality, including tracking the program budget and expenditures. Serve as program liaison and assist visiting scholars/students with their transition to the U.S.
  • Provide interpretation and Korean translation of documents, lectures, and meetings to assist visiting scholars or during travel nationally and internationally. Accompany delegation members as needed to facilitate communication and ensure program quality.
  • Promote the SPIA's Korea Program (GLAD Program) in Georgia and Korea through networking and sharing marketing materials with partners.
  • Schedule business meetings and cultural events for Korean delegations and visitors. Coordinate logistics of visits and programs, including liaising with government officials and agencies.
  • Collaborate with university departments supporting visiting scholars. Maintain a database of contacts supporting the Korea Program.
  • Provide research support to visiting scholars, including data collection, research compilation, and meeting arrangements.
  • Assist with training/research for visiting scholars, including gathering data on Korean policy issues and drafting reports for policymakers or internal groups.
