The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, DC seeks a part-time Research Assistant to support Korea Studies in the Asia Program. The role is 5–10 hours per week and lasts about six to nine months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; ability to perform interdisciplinary research.
• Ideal candidate enrolled in a graduate program in political science, international affairs, public policy, Korean studies, or related field.
• Native or near-native English and Korean language proficiency; reading knowledge of Japanese or Chinese is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative research on South Korea’s politics and foreign policy.
