Job summary

KapohoKine Adventures in Kailua Kona, Hawaii is seeking a Kona Adventure Tour Guide to lead guests to top island locations in vans and other vehicles, sharing the beauty of Hawaii Island.

No prior tour-guide experience is required, and training is provided. Positions start as part-time with schedules that align to cruise ship calls; must be 21+, pass the Hawaii health exam, and maintain a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Previous tour guide experience is not required.
• Pass a Department of Transportation health exam as required by the State of Hawaii.
• Acquire or currently hold all necessary County, State, and Federal credentials.
• Must be over 21 years old.
• Must produce a current clean driver history in the State of Hawaii.
• All positions start as part-time and candidates MUST be available on all cruise ship call days.
• Candidates must be able to accommodate a variable schedule through the week.

Job Description

Fast-paced team environment in Kona on Hawaii Island looking for hard working, customer service oriented, detail driven candidates who love independence, the great outdoors and the stunning Hawaiian flora and fauna. We pay for training with quick opportunity for advancement.

Previous tour guide experience is not required. Teachers, adventurers, retail workers, astronomers, shopkeepers, nurses, doctors, and retirees have all made some of our best guides. Let us show you how.

Tour Guides

• Guide guests in full size vans and other specialty vehicles to locations around Hawaii Island.

Positions

• Positions are available immediately.
• Shifts range from 6 to 14 hours from to 5 days per week depending on load.
• Tour itineraries run island-wide.
• Positions are indoor/outdoor rain or shine.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds, climb steps, and have a positive attitude.
• Pass a Department of Transportation health exam as required by the State of Hawaii.
• Acquire or currently hold all necessary County, State, and Federal credentials and feel comfortable driving large vehicles.
• Experience in the industry encouraged, but not required.
• Must be over 21 years old.
• Must produce a current clean driver history in the State of Hawaii.
• All positions start as part-time and candidates MUST be available on all cruise ship call days, calendar provided, including holidays where required.
• Candidates must be able to accommodate a variable schedule through the week depending on cruise ship calls per provided calendar.
