Kohler is seeking a User Experience Design Co-op to gain hands-on experience shaping intuitive digital experiences across Kohler’s websites, apps, and product platforms.

You will partner with design and cross-functional teams to support user research, usability testing, and concept evaluation. This role offers opportunities to contribute to real projects and develop skills in research, storytelling, and human-centered design.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university-level program in User Experience or related discipline.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating application of user-centered design practices in digital product design.
• Proficient with design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, with familiarity using Sketch, Figma, Flinto, Principle, InVision Studio, Marvel, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to share research insights and design concepts with cross-functional partners.

Program Overview

As a User Experience Design Co-Op at Kohler, you will gainhands-on experience helping shape intuitive, thoughtful, and user-centereddigital experiences across websites, applications, and product platforms. Thisrole is designed for a curious and analytical student who is passionate aboutunderstanding user needs, gathering insights, and translating research intomeaningful design recommendations. Throughout the co-op, you will partner withdesign and cross-functional teams to support user research, usability testing,feedback sessions, and concept evaluation. You will contribute to real projectsthat help improve the way users engage with Kohler’s digital experiences whilebuilding your skills in research, storytelling, problem solving, andhuman-centered design.

What You’ll Do

• Research user needs, behaviors, requirements, and process flows to better understand the full user experience across websites, applications, and digital product experiences.
• Support the planning, execution, analysis, and reporting of user-centered design research, usability testing, and feedback sessions.
• Study target customers through interviews, questionnaires, observations, A/B testing, and other research methods to uncover insights that inform design decisions.
• Help identify usability challenges, gather feedback on design concepts, and translate research findings into clear recommendations for improving the user experience.
• Coordinate, conduct, and moderate usability tests, then prepare thoughtful written analysis and summaries to share key findings with design and cross-functional partners.

Skills/Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university-level program in User Experience or a related discipline, such as psychology, sociology, and focused in human behavior, UX/UI design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating the application of user-centered design practices within digital product design, UX/UI design, or related project work.
• Proficient with design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, with familiarity using current UX/UI prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Flinto, Principle, InVision Studio, Marvel, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly share research insights, design recommendations, and user experience concepts with design and cross-functional partners.
