Job summary

British American Household Staffing in New York City is seeking an experienced nanny to care for a first baby expected in September 2026. The role is weekdays with potential travel and a start window of November 2026 to January 2027 for the right candidate.

Ideal candidates have Norland or British background, CPR/First Aid certification, and verifiable references. You will support feeding, sleep routines, development, and collaborate with family and other staff.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for babies up to 1 year old.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of the baby.
• Clean and maintain bottles and feeding supplies.
• Work collaboratively with working parents.
• Implement and maintain safe sleep practices aligned with current guidelines, and in collaboration with the NCS.
• Help establish and support feeding and sleep routines appropriate for developmental stage.
• Maintain a baby log.
• Monitor baby's wellbeing, feeding patterns, and developmental progress.
• Organize and maintain baby clothing, gear, and supplies.
• Monitor inventory; pro-actively alert parents when supplies need reordering.
• Keep nursery and baby areas tidy and organized.
• Work collaboratively with other staff.
• Recommend age-appropriate products and equipment as needed.
• Provide developmentally appropriate stimulation and activities as the baby grows and develops.

Overview

Downtown parents are looking for a rock-star nanny for their first baby who is due September 2026. The position is Monday through Friday with flexibility to work Monday through Thursday if the family is traveling. The start date will be November- January 2027 but they will hire asap for the right person. Noland nannies or British nannies will be prioritized.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Excellent, verifiable references from previous families

Salary and Benefits

• $40-$45 per hr gross, DOE
