Job summary

WWC Global, an operating firm of Command Holdings, seeks a Knowledge Management Specialist – Waterfront Representative to support CNSP. The role strengthens knowledge management and ship maintenance information flow, bridging policy, planning, and execution across Surface Fleet stakeholders.

Responsibilities include supporting maintenance planning, ensuring access to critical information, and delivering briefings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher required; alternative with 6 years’ experience (Associate’s) or 12 years (High School).
  • Current active Secret security clearance required.
  • Direct experience with surface ship maintenance policies, processes, and strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal English communications required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • U.S. citizenship and authorization to work in the United States required.

Responsibilities

  • Support knowledge management and change management for CNSP to ensure readiness.
  • Ensure critical information is accessible, accurate, and usable for planning and execution across Surface Fleet stakeholders.

Description

WWC Global, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is currently seekinga Knowledge Management Specialist – Waterfront Representativeto supportthe Commander Naval SurfaceForces– Pacific (CNSP).

The Knowledge Management Specialist / Waterfront Representative supports organizational readiness by strengthening knowledge management practices and ship maintenance information flow. This role combinesexpertisein knowledge management and change management with a strong understanding of surface ship maintenance policies and depot maintenance availability. The selected candidate will help ensure critical information is accessible,accurate, and effectively used to preserve material readiness and support planning and execution across Surface Fleet stakeholders.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the waterfront representativeleveragingcomprehensive understanding of ship maintenance policies and processes to support requirements to ensure a state of material readiness essential for preserving the highest degree of planning and execution of depot maintenance availabilities.
  • Represent the government client by providing oversight, direction, and advisory in major maintenance/modernization planning and execution.
  • Ensure lessons learned in advanced planning and execution are addressed across all ship classes, while keepinghigh standardsfor depot maintenance availabilities.
  • Ensure Maintenance Team compliance with Fleet Maintenance and Modernization policies.
  • Provideexpertiseand continuity to assigned ships and Maintenance teams in defining maintenance requirements and managing maintenance to maximize readiness.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence related to surface ship maintenance progress, problems, and solutions.
  • Investigate significant incidents affecting costs, schedule adherence, contractor performance, and material support.
  • Develop risk-assessed evaluations of new or growth work modifications.
  • Perform evaluations and propose improvements for future modernization planning activities.
  • Participate in special projects aimed at improving maintenance management processes or surface ship maintenance execution.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings for leadership, distilling complex information, outcomes, and recommendations in clear, actionable formats.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase user engagement andadoption ofnew systems and processes.
  • Communicate changes effectively and address stakeholder concerns to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Assess current knowledge management and SharePoint practices,identifyingopportunities for enhancement.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging techniques to recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and implement best practices.

This position is contingent on contract modification and funding.

Expected salary range: $90,000 - $110,000

  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to work in confined areas.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree //OR// Associate’s Degree with 6 years of experience //OR// High School Diploma with 12 years of experience.
  • Current, active Secret security clearance.
  • Direct experience with surface ship maintenance policies, processes, and strategies.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM).
  • Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. WWC Global will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with project management and risk mitigation.
  • Direct experience with the U.S. Military with U.S Navy, U.S Coast Guard or other shipboard experiencehighly preferred.
  • Executive level skills in oral and written communications.
