The Knowledge Management (KM) Manager is responsible for establishing and sustaining Eden Housing’s organizational approach to knowledge management. This role serves as the central coordinator and enabler of Eden Housing’s KM strategy — building the governance, standards, and support structures that allow knowledge to be created, maintained, and shared effectively across the organization.
The KM Manager supports a distributed ownership model, working with subject matter experts, managers, and a cross‑functional Knowledge Council to ensure that critical information is accurate, accessible, and trusted. The role balances strategic thinking with practical execution, focusing on sustainable practices that support day‑to‑day work while preparing Eden for responsible use of AI‑enabled tools over time.
Reports to Director of Strategic Initiatives Works closely with: Technology Department, Talent Development, Knowledge Stewards, and the Knowledge Council. This role is the founding member of our new KM team; the KM team is expected to remain intentionally small and focused, with additional specialist support added over time only as needed.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, training outlines, needs assessments, and operational manuals and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define and articulate problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
