Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Back-End Engineer to design, build, and operate data infrastructure powering an AI-driven knowledge platform. You will work across the full back-end stack, architect APIs, build data pipelines, manage multi-modal databases, and ensure reliability of services used by product teams.

You will bring strong fundamentals and be comfortable designing relational schemas, graph queries, vector stores, or production-grade REST APIs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Knowledge Graph data hydration and ontology-based mapping (RDF/SPARQL).
• 5+ years with R2RML or similar mapping frameworks for transforming relational data into graph models.
• 5+ years with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j) and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch; strong SQL proficiency.
• 5+ years hands-on with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) including design and indexing.
• 5+ years deploying vector databases (Pinecone/Weaviate/Milvus/Qdrant) in production.
• 5+ years in Python or Java for automation and REST API development; design/document REST APIs.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; 12+ years total.

Responsibilities

• Hydrate structured and semi-structured data into Knowledge Graphs by mapping data to ontologies.
• Develop data mapping and transformation workflows (R2RML or equivalent).
• Write and optimize SPARQL for graph loading, validation, and retrieval.
• Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines from enterprise systems.
• Design and optimize relational schemas to support graph hydration and ETL workflows.
• Deploy and maintain vector DB infrastructure for embedding storage and retrieval.
• Design scalable graph query APIs for internal teams.
• Performance-tune graph queries, indexing, and data access patterns.
• Own containerization, deployment, and monitoring of graph services in cloud environments.
• Ensure data quality, ontology alignment, and secure handling of PII/PHI.
• Collaborate with ontologists and architects to support Knowledge Graph implementations.
