Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Back-End Engineer to design, build, and operate data infrastructure powering our AI-driven knowledge platform. You will work across the back-end stack — architecting APIs, building data pipelines, managing multi-modal database systems, and owning the reliability and performance of the services that application and product teams depend on.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience with Knowledge Graph hydration and ontology-based mapping.
• Experience with RDF, SPARQL, and semantic technologies.
• 5 years with graph databases and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
• 5 years with relational databases and schema design.
• 5 years deploying vector databases in production.
• 5 years Python or Java for automation and REST APIs.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Hydrate data into Knowledge Graphs by mapping source data to ontology models.
• Develop data mapping and transformation workflows.
• Write and optimize SPARQL queries for graph loading, validation, retrieval.
• Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines and integrate data from enterprise systems.
• Design and optimize relational schemas and queries to support graph tasks.
• Deploy and maintain vector database infrastructure for embedding storage and semantic retrieval.
• Design and maintain scalable graph query APIs for internal teams.
• Performance-tune graph DB queries and indexing strategies.
• Own containerization, deployment, and monitoring of graph services in cloud.
• Ensure data quality, ontology alignment, PII/PHI handling.
• Collaborate with ontologists, architects, and teams on Knowledge Graphs.
