Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Back-End Engineer to design, build, and operate data infrastructure powering our AI-driven knowledge platform. You will work across the back-end stack—architecting APIs, building data pipelines, managing multi-model databases, and ensuring reliability and performance for enterprise-scale services.

You should bring deep knowledge of RDF/SPARQL, knowledge graphs, and graph databases, with strong Python or Java skills to drive REST APIs and data integration in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in Knowledge Graph data hydration and ontology-based data mapping.
• Strong understanding of RDF, SPARQL, and semantic technologies.
• 5+ years with graph databases and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
• 5+ years relational DB experience (PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server).
• 5+ years deploying vector DBs (Pinecone/Weaviate/Milvus/Qdrant).
• Proficiency in Python or Java for automation and REST APIs.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (min 12 years).

Responsibilities

• Hydrate data into Knowledge Graphs by mapping source data to ontology models.
• Develop data mapping and transformation workflows (R2RML or similar).
• Write and optimize SPARQL queries for loading, validation, retrieval.
• Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines across enterprise systems.
• Design and optimize relational schemas to support graph hydration and ETL.
• Deploy and maintain vector DB infrastructure for embedding storage and retrieval.
• Design scalable graph query APIs for internal teams.
• Performance-tune graph DB queries and data access patterns.
• Own containerization, deployment, and monitoring of graph services in the cloud.
• Ensure data quality, ontology alignment, and PII/PHI handling.
