Job summary

Actionstep is seeking a content specialist to build a comprehensive help system for its Legal Accounting product and services. You will transform limited existing content into a well-structured knowledge base that guides users through complex billing workflows.

Ideal candidates will research independently, collaborate with Product, Support, and UX, and produce user-friendly, accurate articles with clear visuals. A strong background in SaaS content and documentation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Technical Writing, English or related field
• 3-4 years of experience in technical or software content writing
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration abilities
• Ability to grasp complex accounting concepts and translate them into clear content
• Experience creating online help files, knowledge base articles, and release notes

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Actionstep’s Legal Accounting product to translate complex information into simple, polished content
• Write user-friendly articles that meet the needs of the target audience
• Support and maintain in-app communications with the product
• Document software workflows with Product, Support, Customer Team, Development, and UX
• Coordinate work with other writers and Support team members
• Lead regular meetings with product managers and drive accountability
• Adhere to release schedules and meet deadlines
• Contribute to overall help center strategy and content management
• Follow documentation style guides and improve standards
