Gibson Dunn seeks a Knowledge Attorney in the Real Estate Practice Group to bridge law, technology, and experimentation. Based in a U.S. office (New York preferred), you will work with the KM & AI team to design, test, and scale tools that support lawyers and clients across offices.
The ideal candidate has a J.D. and strong transactional experience, plus a passion for AI, workflow design, and practical judgments that translate expertise into scalable knowledge systems.

Based in any U.S. office (New York preferred), the Knowledge Attorney will sit at the intersection of legal practice, technology, and experimentation within the Real Estate Practice Group. This role is designed for a lawyer with a strong transactional foundation who is deeply engaged with how AI, technology, and new ways of working are reshaping legal practice and will continue to transform legal practice in the years to come.
The ideal candidate brings substantive credibility to earn the trust of practicing lawyers, combined with an innovator’s mindset energized by designing, testing, and scaling new tools, workflows, and systems. As part of the Knowledge Management & AI Group, this position collaborates across offices and administrative teams—including Research, Practice Group Management, and Information Technology—to translate emerging technology into practical, high-impact tools for lawyers and clients.
This role reports to the Chief Legal Operations Officer and the Sr. Director & Counsel of Knowledge & AI.
The annual compensation range for this position is $250,000 - $290,000. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
