  • Cleans equipment via CIP/SIP and conducts operator inspections.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment following cGMP and HSE practices.
  • Documents production activity and logs for traceability.

Job description

The Knitting Technician is responsible for the operating, monitoring, and cleaning of the knitting machines. This position is responsible for making minor adjustments to machines, preparing GMP documentation recording production activities and minor trouble shooting on the operation of assigned machines. Performs minor maintenance activities on assigned machines.

What you will do:
  • Operates knitting machines in accordance with company SOP’s, Batch Records, and Work Instructions for applicable machines.
  • Manufactures products to specifications to meet final product customer specifications by operating and monitoring equipment; observing varying conditions; recording quality conditions.
  • Performs production as scheduled by department group lead, supervisor, and/or Operations manager.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), standard operating procedures, and established company HSE practices.
  • Prepares equipment by performing cleaning-in-place (CIP), servicing-in-place (SIP), conducting operator inspections, performing preventive maintenance checks.
  • Works with group lead and supervisor to ensure machines are correctly calibrated and all preventative maintenance complete and up to date prior to use.
  • May perform equipment set-ups, gauge changes, and or repair activities as needed
  • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairs.
  • Monitors and ensures good quality production as defined in specifications and work instructions.
  • Documents production by completing forms, reports, logs, and records of equipment and batches.
Who you are:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 0–1-year related experience.
  • Basic understanding of knitting process is preferred.
  • Good mechanical skills are a must.
