The successful candidate will monitor machines, perform routine quality checks, and assist with basic maintenance and setup. This is a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing position.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow directions closely and work overtime when necessary.
• Lift up to 35 pounds occasionally and occasionally pull 70-pound cans across the floor.
• Strong visual acuity to see fabric clearly, distinguish colors accurately, and use a tape measure.
• Constant standing, walking, reaching, and pulling.
• Reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned knitting machines to produce high-quality knit trim while maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
• Monitor machines constantly and keep them supplied with yarn, cones, and thread.
• Conduct regular product observations and four daily quality checks to ensure standards are met.
• Perform basic machine maintenance, including cleaning excess oil, grease, and lint, and changing needles.
• Handle color changes, fill out set-up sheets, and enter programs.
• Doff machines, weigh fabric, fix press-offs and bunch-ups, and perform light-duty set-up work.
• Maintain a clean work area by sweeping and clearing unused yarn.
