Job summary

Cap America, Inc. in Fredericktown, MO is seeking a production worker to join our knit cap team. Work closely with others in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high quality throughout the process and finished product.

You will review daily orders, load materials, operate and guide sewing machines, and help meet daily production goals. This position requires lifting up to 75 lbs, standing for long periods, and a willingness to cross-train in multiple positions.

Responsibilities

• Review daily orders for details such as quantities, colors, and due dates.
• Load materials and position items under needles and presser feet for sewing.
• Guide garments under machine needles and presser feet to assemble parts.
• Maintain knit quality and accurate measurements and sew lines.
• Work quickly to meet daily production goals.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Position Summary:Working as a team with others to produce various styles of knit caps. Fast paced and detail oriented. Maintain highest acceptable quality in process and finished product.Essential Functions:Carefully reviews paper work for daily orders that include details such as; quantities, colors, due dates, and if any specific notes that may be shown.Lifting, Pulling, shoving, and pushing boxes that weigh 10-75lbs.Place spools of thread, cord, or other materials on spindles, insert bobbins, and thread ends through machine guides and components.Position items under needles, using marks on machines, clamps, templates, or cloth as guides.Guide garments or garment parts under machine needles and presser feet to sew parts together.Maintaining quality of the knit, assuring measurements, sizes, and sew lines are accurate.Working at a fast pace to ensure daily production goals is met.Perform other duties as requested.Qualifications:Must have the ability to work closely with other people.Must be punctual and have a positive work attitude.The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.Detail orientedMust be willing to cross-train in various positions.Some sitting, standing, walking, lifting (over 75 lbs.), bending, twisting, reaching, stretching, pushing, and pulling required.Reasonable Accommodations:Cap America provides reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities to enable them to perform the essential functions of the job.
