Job summary

Coach in New York is seeking a Design Associate, Knits to collaborate on seasonal concepts aligned with the Coach aesthetic. You will work with Senior Knitwear Designer and cross-functional partners to bring knit ideas from swatches to prototypes.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in design, 2–4 years knits experience, knowledge of knit construction, and proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop. Strong organizational skills and hands-on development are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design or related field.
• 2–4 years' experience in knits design.
• Strong knowledge of knits construction, gauges, stitches, yarns.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop knit designs from swatch development to prototype.
• Adhere to timelines and deliver concepts to milestones.
• Create design flats and mockups using Illustrator/Photoshop.
• Prepare design cards for suppliers and collaborate with Merchandising and Product Development.
• Manage season line sheets and assist local development.
