Job summary

Benchmade Knife Company is seeking a Production Technician to join our Assembly department. This role covers multiple levels, from entry to senior, with a clear path for skill development across laser engraving, serration, sharpening, and assembly tasks.

You will build and inspect knives, troubleshoot issues, document processes, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong attention to quality and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3–4 years of general manufacturing experience.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to handle and assemble small parts.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical assembly problems on all SKU types.
• Ability to follow written/oral instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Assemble knives from components using small manual and semi-automatic hand tools and fixtures.
• Visually inspect parts used in knife assembly to ensure cosmetic requirements.
• Perform minor troubleshooting of problems while assembling components.
• Complete required documentation.
• May be moved throughout department to support department needs.
• Cross-train at various assembly functions.
• Actively participates in continuous improvement teams and supports the culture.
• Meet daily production, cycle time, quality, and safety requirements.
