Enovis in Austin, TX is seeking an Engineering Manager, Knees to lead the Knee New Product Development team through concept to commercialization. You will mentor engineers, manage budgets, and collaborate with surgeons and cross‑functional partners to translate requirements into clinically differentiated orthopedic solutions.

The role emphasizes design leadership, risk management, and adherence to FDA/ISO standards, with travel less than 15% and a focus on delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective

Qualifications

• 10+ years of design / development experience.
• Experience in medical devices and/or orthopedics preferred.
• Experience in managing engineering personnel preferred.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, sales representatives, design surgeons, or members of the business community.
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
• Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, statistical analysis.
• Knowledge of Word Processing software; spreadsheet software; internet software; contact / change management systems.
• Experience with 3D CAD packages (i.e. Solidworks, NX, ProE, etc)

Responsabilités

• Lead a team of engineers in developing and bringing to market new medical products.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project plans, cost estimates, and specifications.
• Assure proper preparation of documentation per project plans (user needs, IP, drawings, test plans).
• Oversee design verification and validation, engineering changes, and manufacturing instructions.
• Work with manufacturing, supply chain and QA to monitor quality and process improvements.
