Job summary

Jabil in Memphis, TN is seeking a Kitting Operator to pull, kit, stage and deliver materials for production, ensuring accuracy and traceability. You’ll use RF scanners and ERP systems to transact inventory and support on-time manufacturing.

Requirements include 1 year in manufacturing or warehousing, ERP experience (SAP preferred), strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Occasional lifting and strict safety compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• 1 year of manufacturing, materials, inventory control, kitting, warehousing or related production experience required.
• Experience with ERP systems required; SAP experience preferred.
• RF scanners (RF guns) used for inventory transactions and tracking desired.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate inventory and manufacturing software.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pull, kit, stage, and deliver materials to production areas based on schedules and build requirements.
• Use RF scanners and ERP systems to complete material transactions, inventory movements, receipts, issues, and returns.
• Verify material quantities, part numbers, lot information, and documentation for kit accuracy and traceability.
• Prepare and label kits per production requirements and ensure proper identification and organization.
• Return excess/unused materials to inventory and process related transactions accurately and timely.
• Identify shortages or discrepancies and escalate to appropriate teams.
• Maintain records for kitting activities and support material traceability requirements.
• Assist with cycle counts, inventories, 5S, and safety/compliance initiatives.

The Kitting Operator utilizes ERP systems, RF scanners, and inventory management tools to support efficient production flow while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and inventory control standards. Duties and Responsibilities: • Accurately pull, kit, stage, and deliver materials to production areas based on production schedules, work orders, and build requirements. • Utilize RF scanners and ERP systems to complete material transactions, inventory movements, receipts, issues, and returns. • Verify material quantities, part numbers, lot information, and documentation to ensure kit accuracy and inventory traceability. • Prepare and label kits according to production requirements and ensure all materials are properly identified and organized. • Return excess or unused materials to inventory and process all associated transactions accurately and timely. • Identify material shortages, discrepancies, or inventory issues and escalate concerns to the appropriate team members. • Support manufacturing operations by ensuring materials are available at designated production locations when needed. • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to kitting activities, inventory transactions, and material shortages. • Support material traceability requirements by properly processing transactions within manufacturing and inventory systems. • Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory accuracy initiatives as required. • Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work area in accordance with 5S standards. • Adhere to all safety, quality, ISO, and company policies and procedures. • Collaborate with warehouse, production, planning, and inventory control teams to ensure operational efficiency. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: • Minimum one (1) year of experience in manufacturing, materials, inventory control, kitting, warehousing, logistics, or a related production environment required.
