Job summary

Precision Stainless, a Steel & O’Brien Manufacturing company, is seeking a Kitter to prepare and stage stainless-steel parts and materials for fabrication and assembly. You’ll support production by ensuring materials are accurate, clearly identified, and available to minimize downtime and improve workflow.

Responsibilities include delivering materials, staging at workstations, monitoring usage, and maintaining safe, well-organized material flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver raw materials, components, and supplies to production lines according to production schedules.
• Stage materials at designated workstations to support uninterrupted production flow.
• Monitor material usage and notify inventory or supervision of shortages or replenishment needs.
• Remove completed parts, empty containers, and scrap from production areas as required.
• Maintain accurate material flow by following job travelers, kanban signals, or work instructions.
• Ensure materials are properly labeled, handled, and stored in accordance with company standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S requirements.
• Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve material flow.
• Support production operators as needed.
