Job summary

Schreiber Foods in Beloit, Wisconsin is seeking a Manufacturing & Operations Machine Operator to join our 6am-6:30pm 2-2-3 C Crew. You will weigh ingredients, read batching sheets, operate forklifts, and ensure GMP compliance while supporting blending and production workflows.

The role requires weekend and overtime availability, good communication, basic math, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Ongoing training, PTO from day one, and comprehensive benefits accompany a union-friendly, employee-owned

Qualifications

• Must adhere to regulations, food safety procedures, and company policies.
• Weigh out ingredients for current and future production needs.
• Read batching sheets and prioritize weigh out needs according to customer and internal specifications.
• Identify ingredients including allergens vs non-allergens.
• Operate the HIVE system with pallet/ingredient scanning and kitting room activities.
• Identify and record lot codes, products, and other ingredient information.

Responsibilities

• Using a forklift, retrieve product from freezer or refrigerator and bring to Blending as needed.
• Maintain a clean working area and follow GMPs.
• Collaborate with Blending position and contribute to team efforts.
• Adhere to internal policies including GMP, attendance, and productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management/Supervisor.
• Complete tasks in alignment with safety and quality standards.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Able to work weekends and overtime as needed
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good math skills a plus
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to use RF Scanner/scan gun
• Dependable
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Ability to Safely operate material handling equipment, i.e. Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, etc. a plus

Education And/or Experience

• High School Degree, preferred
• 1 to 3 years of knowledge and experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred
• Must be able to complete and pass required Wonderlic test
