Job summary

Stratosphere Gaming, LLC is seeking an enthusiastic Utility Cleaner to support culinary operations by deep cleaning kitchen equipment and maintaining high sanitation standards. You will perform deep cleaning of stoves, ovens, and other equipment, while maintaining cleanliness throughout kitchen and beverage areas.

You will follow OSHA guidelines, input information as needed, and work as part of a team to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment for staff and guests.

Qualifications

• One year of relevant experience preferred; STA Kitchen Worker certification preferred.
• Knowledge of proper stove cleaning techniques preferred.
• Familiarity with handling industrial cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
• 18 years of age or older; High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Verify right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous guest service consistent with the company's guest service culture.
• Perform deep cleaning of kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, floors, grills, broilers, and other surfaces.
• Conduct high-dusting throughout the kitchen and beverage outlets to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Use appropriate cleaning chemicals per OSHA regulations and company policies to sanitize equipment and workspaces.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, sinks, garbage disposals, and other cleaning equipment; perform basic breakdown and reassembly as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas throughout the shift.
• Transport garbage, recycling, and debris from kitchen and bar areas to designated disposal locations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position.
• Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned
