Job summary

Great Western Dining is seeking a dedicated and reliable Utility Worker to join our Newman University location. The successful candidate will maintain kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils, and assist with daily dining operations to ensure quality service and safety.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to lift up to 30 pounds, and follow HACCP and safety policies. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a utility or maintenance role is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and practices.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes or pans by hand or dish machine.
• Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and equipment
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• May unload grocery deliveries or transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Cleans equipment and facilities using specific chemicals ensuring safety & sanitary standards.
• Complies with all HACCP and safety policies and procedures.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
