Job summary

Feeding Tampa Bay in Tampa, FL is seeking a Kitchen Utility / Dishwasher to support the kitchen team in Causeway Center. This on-site, part-time role requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds, with core hours including 11:30a-8p on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 9:30a-6p on Wednesdays and Fridays.

As a Kitchen Utility, you will maintain sanitation, operate dish machines, and assist cooks while ensuring a clean, safe workspace and contributing to our mission-driven food

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to stand long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize plates, glasses, and pots using machine or soak methods.
• Sweep and mop floors, clean walls, and sanitize food prep surfaces.
• Maintain a cleaning schedule and temperature logs for dish machines.
• Empty trash, break down boxes, and take garbage to outdoor bins.
• Set up and close the dish area; assist with basic prep tasks.
• Support volunteers and align duties with Feeding Tampa Bay mission.
