Great Western Dining is seeking a dedicated and reliable Utility Worker to join our team at a university location. The Utility role maintains kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils, and supports dining operations.

Responsibilities include washing dishes, sweeping and cleaning, stocking supplies and ensuring HACCP safety standards. We value teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a utility or maintenance role is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and physical stamina to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and practices.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes or pans by hand or dish machine.
• Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and equipment
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• May unload grocery deliveries or transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Cleans equipment and facilities using specific chemicals ensuring safety & sanitary standards.
• Complies with all HACCP and safety policies and procedures.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
