Job summary

Whitsons Culinary Group is seeking a Food Service Utility Worker to keep kitchen areas clean, safe, and well supplied at the Merakey AVS Pittsburgh location.

You will support the healthcare kitchen team by cleaning surfaces, handling trash, stocking supplies, and assisting with basic kitchen tasks. The role is full‑time with opportunities for growth and benefits, with a hourly wage of $15–$16.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; training as required by Whitsons and regulations.
• Experience in kitchen, food service, or janitorial roles is helpful but not required.
• Food handling certification preferred; local safety certification required where employed.
• Must be able to speak/read English to understand assignments and communicate with team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize food prep areas and surfaces.
• Take out trash and keep storage areas organized.
• Assist with food deliveries and supply stocking.
• Help with basic kitchen tasks when needed.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
