Job summary

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants in Michigan is seeking a General Utility to maintain kitchen areas, equipment, plateware and utensils in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition. The role supports food preparation and helps uphold our standards.

You will work indoors most of the time with some outdoor duties, handle hot and damp environments, and respond to emergencies while contributing to a team-focused, safety-conscious work culture.

Qualifications

• Reading and understanding documents like manuals and contracts.
• Ability to perform basic calculations and interpret instructions.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and places them in the dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays by hand and/or machine.
• Completes all assigned prep work.
• Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area.
• Washes work area tables, walls, refrigerator equipment, cooking equipment and floors.
• Cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles.
• Assembles, maintains and breaks down dish machine.
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Places plates, utensils, pans and cases on high and low shelves.
• Works indoors (90%), outdoors (10%).
• Able to work in a hot and damp environment and respond in emergencies.
