Job summary

Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg is seeking a Kitchen Utility Aide to join our team on a full-time basis. The role involves washing all wares, stocking stations, and maintaining sanitation under supervision to support daily kitchen operations.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and preferred experience with heavy cleaning of kitchen equipment; ability to follow directions and read SDS sheets, with PPE awareness. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Past experience in heavy cleaning of kitchen equipment preferred.
• Ability to follow directions, read SDS sheets and understand PPE equipment.

Responsibilities

• Washes wares (pots, pans, flatware, glasses) by hand and with commercial dishwashers.
• Correctly places and stores dishes and utensils in assigned storage areas.
• Stocks serving stations, cabinets, refrigerators, server and kitchen with necessary dishes and utensils.
• Responsible for taking the trash to appropriate receptacles for disposal.
• Clean and sanitize equipment per cleaning schedules using approved chemicals/tools.
• Maintain and rotate products to ensure fresh dates and timely usage.
• Perform routine food service tasks under supervision of managers.
