Job summary

IP Casino Resort Spa in Biloxi, Mississippi is looking for a Kitchen Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing kitchen equipment. The ideal candidate should have two to five years of experience in the casino industry and be able to troubleshoot using a multimeter.

You will be expected to disassemble and repair damaged kitchen equipment, implement inspections, and provide excellent customer service while adhering to safety procedures. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble damaged or worn kitchen equipment in the shop; perform repairs and rebuild operations such as rewiring and replacing bearings, bushings, brushes, and centrifugal or on/off switches.
• Maintain and repair a variety of commercial kitchen equipment, electrical and gas appliances, tools, and other equipment as assigned.
• Implement services and inspections on all kitchen and related equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
• Respond to emergency calls, power failures, fuel service failures, etc.
• Carry a two‑way radio on shift.
• Adhere to and remain aware of all property and departmental safety procedures.
• Interpret and communicate operating procedures and failures to upper management.
• Analyze operating procedures and keep records of any activity or discrepancies to equipment.
• Estimate material, time, and submit ordering requisitions for various tasks.
• Coordinate and schedule with other departments to ensure proper work orders or major projects are addressed and that adequate manpower coverage is available.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Two to five years of related experience in the casino industry as a Kitchen Technician preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to multi‑task and think/re‑act quickly.
• Ability to troubleshoot with a multimeter preferred.
• Familiar with tools, equipment, and techniques associated with kitchen and related equipment; knowledge of standard hand and power tools used in repair and maintenance of said equipment.
