Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring a Kitchen Team Member to deliver high-quality customer service in a fast-paced deli environment. You will learn to prepare salads, sandwiches, fruit cups, and more while keeping the area clean and stocked.

Training is provided, no prior experience is required, and duties may include supporting cashiers and other store roles as needed. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and friendly service, with benefits including tuition assistance, PTO, and health coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the deli, coffee, and fountain bars.
• Prepare deli items according to guides (salads, sandwiches, fruit, parfaits).
• Assist store cashier team members with cleaning and stocking during shifts.
• Follow food safety policies and procedures to maintain a clean, stocked area.
• Possibility of cross-training in other departments and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
