Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops is hiring a Kitchen Team Member to engage customers, prepare fresh deli items, and keep the deli area stocked and clean. No prior experience required—we’ll teach you the ropes and help you grow within a supportive team.

You will work with a friendly staff, follow food safety guidelines, and have opportunities for cross-training in other areas. This role offers competitive pay and benefits as part of a team‑oriented culture.

Qualifications

• General customer service duties including answering questions about menu offerings and assisting deli tasks.
• Ability to move and lift 25+ pounds in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow food safety policies and proper handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions about menu offerings and assist deli, coffee, and fountain areas.
• Accurately prepare deli products per guides, including salads, fruit, sandwiches, and wraps.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow safety procedures across the deli and surrounding areas.
• Cross-train in other departments such as Store Cashier and Facility Maintenance as needed.
• Move, lift 25+ pounds and work in varied temperatures throughout shifts.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.


• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.


• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.


• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.


• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
