Job summary

Moji Food Central Kitchen in Hayward, CA is hiring for kitchen staff. The role offers $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, full-time status with benefits after eligibility, and opportunities for growth through internal promotion and training.

Responsibilities include supporting daily kitchen operations, preparing ingredients, following SOPs, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring proper storage and stock levels. Weekend shifts are included.

Qualifications

• Past experiences working as a cook, chef, or in a similar role within a high-volume production kitchen or food service environment preferred
• Communication in English is required and bilingual is a plus
• Ability to lift items over 30 lbs

Responsibilities

• Support the kitchen manager in daily operations
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (knead dough, make fillings, and handle raw materials)
• Follow standard procedure (SOP) to prepare and cook food
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, appliances and workstations
• Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
• Dishwasher duties: fast-paced dish cleaning and clean equipment
