Job summary

LV Petroleum LLC is hiring restaurant team members for Miss J's Smokehouse inside our travel center. Roles include cooks and cashiers, focusing on quality food prep, cooking, and delivering a positive guest experience in a fast-paced setting.

Major responsibilities cover food preparation, cooking assistance, cleanliness, inventory, and teamwork. Candidates should be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a kitchen environment with safety and sanitation at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay focused under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: chop vegetables, marinate meats, measure ingredients and portion according to recipes.
• Cooking and Cooking Assistance: cook dishes per menu specifications and monitor temperatures.
• Cleanliness and Safety: maintain clean work areas and follow sanitation guidelines.
• Inventory Management: assist with restocking and monitor supplies; rotate stock FIFO.
• Team Collaboration: work with kitchen and front-of-house staff; assist in training.
• Adherence to Procedures: follow diner's procedures, allergen handling, and safety rules.
