City Market Co-Op is seeking a Kitchen Team Lead who will coordinate the Kitchen team by directing staff, ensuring adequate production of prepared foods, maintaining food safety, and conducting daily inventory.

Qualifications

• Two years of line cook, sous chef or chef experience, or three years kitchen experience.
• High School diploma or GED preferred; culinary degree preferred.
• ServSafe certification, proficiency in MS Office preferred.
• Knowledge of natural and conventional foods helpful.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating preparation, stocking and cleaning of all display and production stations.
• Directing the work of kitchen staff.
• Ensuring products are labeled and rotated in all food storage and refrigerated areas.
• Gathering ingredients from storage or other departments as necessary.
• Assisting with receiving and stocking new products when needed.
• Ensuring finished products are tasty, fresh and attractive.
• Compliance with City Market procedures regarding operations, safety and security.
• May perform other related duties as assigned.

City Market Co-Op is seeking a Kitchen Team Lead who will be at the forefront of creating tasty offerings to our customers! This position helps coordinate the Kitchen team by directing the work of staff, ensuring adequate production of prepared foods, maintaining food safety, and conducting daily inventory.
