Job summary

URBN in Philadelphia is seeking a hardworking Dishwasher to join our back-of-house team. This physically demanding role ensures all service ware and kitchen equipment are clean, sanitized, and ready for use, supporting a safe, organized, and high-functioning kitchen.

You will operate dish machines, wash and store dishware, and assist the kitchen team with deliveries, prep, and maintenance while maintaining high cleanliness standards in hot, wet, and noisy conditions.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50+ lbs in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Able to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in hot, wet, and loud environments.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Dependable, punctual, and a true team player.

Responsibilities

• Operate dish machines and sanitize dishes, tools, and kitchen equipment.
• Wash, organize, and store dishware in designated locations.
• Handle dishes and glassware to avoid breakage.
• Monitor dish machine performance and report issues to kitchen leadership.
• Maintain cleanliness in dish pit, floors, prep stations, and trash/recycling areas.
• Remove trash and recyclables; keep dumpster area clean and tidy.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks such as scrubbing sinks, ovens, and kitchen surfaces.
• Keep cleaning supplies stocked and organized.
• Support the kitchen team with deliveries, prep work, and general maintenance.
• Stay productive during slower periods by maintaining high cleanliness and organization.
