Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly and assist with serving meals.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine at shift start.
• Observe dishwasher water temperatures during cycles and operate the dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks; sweep and mop kitchen surfaces.
• Carry out trash and garbage disposal and store groceries safely.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and assist when called upon by the cook or dietary supervisor.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
