Qualifications

• Good organizational skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to follow simple instructions and apply them.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and equipment.
• Ability to stand, kneel and walk for extended periods.
• Comfort with temperature changes, humidity, and noise.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move heavy objects up to 20 ft.
• Slip-resistant footwear required.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items as requested.
• Portion and plate salads and desserts.
• Assist with cleaning the kitchen, floors and equipment.
• Run the dishwashing operation and keep it clean.
• Clean pots and pans as needed.
• Check water temperatures and sanitation equipment.
• Take out garbage.
• Assist with dining room service, including pouring beverages.
• Replace paper towels and clean hand sinks.
• Stock food on shelves and in the refrigerator.
• Report problems to the supervisor.
• Attend in-services and staff meetings.
• Provide superior customer service to residents and guests.
