Job description

Ken Grossman started Sierra Nevada in 1980 with a hand-built brewhouse and the odds stacked against him. That passion forever changed the course of American craft brewing and launched a beer revolution that's in full force today. Turns out, good beer can do a lot of good, and Sierra Nevada became a cornerstone for both its innovation and its care for the Earth and its people. We’re committed to advancing a culture of inclusion and believe diversity in all its forms makes us stronger. We keep pushing boundaries, whether that’s in the brewhouse, with sustainability, or in the great outdoors.

Get to Know This Role

As a team member in our kitchen, the Kitchen Support role, reporting to the Back-of-House (BOH) Supervisor, plays a crucial role in maintaining the seamless flow of operations. Responsibilities include using industrial-grade dishwashing equipment to ensure cleanliness of kitchen utensils and equipment, assisting with inventory management such as product receiving, rotation, and organization, and supporting light food preparation tasks. Additionally, Kitchen Support team members maintain a clean and inviting environment in both guest-visible and behind-the-scenes areas.

What’s In It For You

We’re committed to our employees and work hard to prove it. We offer hourly compensation ranging from $12.30 to $19.01, based on skills, experience, and location. Beyond pay, we provide a 10% company match on 401(k) contributions, learning and development opportunities, safety training, modern equipment, and comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, an onsite medical clinic, mental health and well-being benefits, paid sick leave, and a culture that encourages work-life balance and paid time off.

What You Will Do
  • Operate industrial dishwashing equipment safely to clean and inspect dishware, silverware, glasses, and kitchen tools; manually wash pots, pans, and cast-iron dishes as needed.
  • Monitor and dispose of trash, recycling, and compost in designated areas.
  • Assist with beginner-level food prep tasks such as cutting, mixing, peeling, and assembly.
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper functioning of equipment and work areas.
  • Help organize and rotate stock to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Perform additional tasks within the restaurant as needed.
  • Follow all applicable laws and health regulations.
Application Requirements
  • Regular, prompt, and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills and teamwork orientation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • ServSafe Food Certification within 30 days of hire.
Additional Considerations

You must be at least 18 years old, and the selected candidate will undergo a pre-employment background check. For detailed physical and environmental job requirements, please review the full job description at this link.
