Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker to supervise inmates in a kitchen, train workers, and coordinate activities to meet production plans while upholding sanitation and safety standards in a correctional facility.

The role emphasizes preventing violations of HACCP, ensuring proper portions and dietary needs, and maintaining logs and recipes while adhering to Aramark guidelines across production and service.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Minimum of one year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates and/or team members in a correctional environment.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must maintain safety procedures and policies.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and maintain preparation and production guidelines by reviewing production and temperature logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and adherence to Aramark guidelines.
• Direct inmates in the use of recipes and train on cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and accommodate dietary requirements.
• Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
• Follow security policies and secure storage areas and keys.
• Assist in inventory and requisition of food and related items.
• Follow HACCP policies for proper food handling and storage.
