The beautiful Embassy Suites Alexandria Old Town is looking for a full-time Kitchen Supervisor to join their culinary team! This 288-suite property is located across from the King St. Metro and the Alexandria Union Station, featuring one outlet, in-room dining, and 11,052 square feet of meeting space.

You will report to the hotel's executive chef and oversee a team of 27 non-union culinary staff.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience as a kitchen supervisor in a hotel or restaurant. A food safety manager’s certification and/or culinary degree are advantageous.

Shift Pattern: candidates should be available for AM and PM shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay Rate: $25.56 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will assist in daily culinary operations to deliver excellent guest service and profitability. Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing food preparation during your shift
• Preparing fish and meats
• Supporting kitchen team members
• Communicating challenges to the Chef or Sous Chef
• Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation
• Setting up daily specials and happy hour food
• Inspecting food quality and presentation
• Scheduling staff with guidance from the Chef or Sous Chef
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and food handling standards
